Director of Professional Services

openDr Inc., a rapidly growing software company in the US healthcare space, is seeking a Director of Professional Services who has experience in managing large and complex IT implementations in a vendor/client environment. The Director of Professional Services must have strong leadership skills, be an excellent communicator, and have experience interfacing with multiple organizations to achieve results. The Director of Professional Services will be responsible for managing projects, portfolios of related projects, or programs with multiple integrated projects including defining, planning, and ensuring execution of all tasks necessary to meet project objectives. The ideal candidate must be extremely detailed and experienced in managing multiple projects to completion. This role will interact with senior management and will become a vital part of the openDoctor business model. The ideal candidate must have a willingness to learn and apply best practices to a complex and growing industry. Healthcare IT experience is mandatory, but organizational skills, ability to understand software, and attention to detail are equally important.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create and manage the Project Management Plan and its components and take action to ensure the plan is being met.
• Understand software configuration, setup, Use cases, and EMR integration and manage all aspects of the project.
• Analyze risks and outline problem resolutions and come up with solutions recommendations to mitigate project risk.
• Lead the project team for larger projects including identifying necessary resources and training and supervising the team.
• Manage the implementation process end-to-end according to set timelines established by the overall team.
• Partner with other departments such as technology, QA, sales and client services to escalate and resolve critical implementation barriers.

Qualifications:

Master’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, Pharmacy Administration or Healthcare Policy/Administration.

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
